Our house, embedded in the mountainous and wooded region of the "Waldheimat", is a family-run business with a gourmet restaurant, traditional tavern, café and hotel that is entirely focused on sustainable enjoyment.
Andreas Krainer is well connected with regional producers. When we work together in the kitchen, tradition, responsibility and creativity go hand in hand. A kind of “New Styrian Cuisine” that is close to the Slow Food idea.
Our hotel is also a popular place to hold seminars, meetings and conventions on a small scale. Our conference room for up to 40 participants and our Stüberl for max. 20 people offer the ideal setting for creative and professional work at seminars and meetings.

Our senior boss Hermann Krainer has immortalized himself in the "Waldheimatzzimmer" and refined the wood he "felled" himself in the 1980s from our own forests in "Joglland". In his workshop, room furnishings with modern charm and historical details that are reminiscent of our origins were and are still being created.

Since we strive to offer the best possible comfort, we are always innovating. In our "Waldheimatzimmer" and "Geniesserzimmer", the bathrooms have been renovated and equipped according to modern standards. Natural stone look combined with reclaimed wood and floor-level showers. The parquet floors are shining again and you won't get far on the new box spring beds when counting sheep.
